CAS, Dysarthria, or Both?
When a child might have CAS, dysarthria, or both, the plan is a dynamic assessment that includes the DEMSS, with the observations entered into the ProCAD.

Hi, it's Nicole from the NYU Motor Speech Lab. I have a kid coming in right now, and I'm not sure if it's CAS or dysarthria, or possibly both. So what am I going to do?
I'm going to do my dynamic assessment. I'm definitely going to be sure to include the DEMSS in that dynamic assessment. And then I'm going to plug in my observations to the ProCAD, and I'm going to watch the magic happen. If you haven't used this diagnostic tool, I highly recommend it.
